Katie Beroukhim loves yoga and it shows in her teaching. Her classes are fun and creative. She teaches sound alignment principles with a focus on individual discovery and expression, blending what is most appropriate in the moment with what she’s learned from her own practice and the amazing wisdom of her teachers.
Katie designs sequences that are challenging enough for experienced students, yet accessible to all levels. She offers lots of modifications to support new people. She understands anatomy and philosophy, and is well equipped to guide her students into wonderful new poses.
Katie has always been active, competing in Synchronized Swim and Cross Country in high school and college, and continuing after graduation. She worked for many years as a writer, editor, and designer before switching to fitness, teaching everything from Kickbox to Cycle to Pilates to Yoga. She has completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training, specializing in Anusara, Vinyasa, and Restorative.

Yoga for Seniors is a gentle class incorporating range of movement exercises, alignment, stretching, strengthening, awareness, breathing and relaxation to refresh, energize, improve posture, deepen breathing and improve sense of well-being. Chairs and props are provided to keep everyone safe and supported.

Restorative yoga – Resting poses designed to deeply relax and rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit. Wear warm clothes. Blankets and props are used to support the body. Poses are held longer than in other classes. All levels welcome

Emphasis on precise movements through core strength, alignment and breath. Sometimes called “intelligent fitness” because movement are designed to be preformed the way the body is intended to move. Develops a stable, strong, flexible and integrated body. It’s a perfect compliment to yoga. All levels welcome.
- Saturday 4:30-5:45 PM – Chakra Flow – Del Mar
This flow class rotates each week with emphasis on a different chakra each class. Enjoy opening new parts of your body and mind through specialized yoga flow sequences designed to enhance and enlighten you to the different chakras in your body. Class is for continuing students and beginners who want to challenge themselves. Includes detailed alignment and focus on breath. Flow class (also known as Vinyasa) with emphasis on connection of movement with breath, connecting multiple poses to create a long, fluid, smooth and rhythmic movement. Faster than non-flow classes.
